I've been using Claude code to teach me how to rebuild the pygame about cats in Godot. It's been really useful to slow down and explore architecture decisions and best practices. It took some getting used, and I had to, at least in the beginning, nudge the AI to check current documentation instead of just randomly remembering. I'll be sharing the demo so that it can be played in the browser. More to come! But strategy games are the best.
In the background, I've been returning to the classic, namely Birth of America 2. I am in the midst of learning those rules, and am intrigued at implementation of a wego system. Seeing as it's the 250th of our country, it seemed fitting to play this classic while reading a history book of the American revolution: The Glorious Cause. I'm seeing it as a warm up before trying the new trilogy by Rick Atkinson.
